Credit Controller About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Controller to join our Finance Team at our Head Office. Reporting directly to the Credit Control Manager, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring efficient collection of payments, and maintaining positive client relationships. Key Responsibilities Monitor and control the release of customer orders in line with agreed credit terms. Manage and analyse customer accounts to ensure timely collections and accurate payment processing (Direct Debit, Cash, Cheque, PayPoint, etc.). Prepare and issue monthly statements and reports as part of the month-end process. Assist in the recovery of bad debts through small claims, insurance, and correspondence procedures. Work closely with Sales Managers to ensure customer accounts are effectively managed. Handle daily administrative queries relating to existing customer accounts. Maintain accurate records and perform daily updates on both new and existing accounts. Process and reconcile cash payments, lodgements, and related administration when required. Prepare summary invoices and maintain insurance indemnity documentation. Experience, Skills, and Attributes Minimum 2 years' experience in a Credit Control position. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively. Ambitious, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
