THE COMPANY:
An exciting sales role has arisen within a division of this UK medical devices business. It would suit either an medical sales candidate with strong new business drive or a commercially driven clinician who wants to transfer into medical sales. Our client is looking for a UK Sales Manager to drive their operating table and beds division of the business across the UK and to build on the successes they already have. The role will involve identifying and winning new tenders as well as converting adhoc sales opportunities. Part of the role will encompass the implementation of trials and clinical projects with existing hospital customers and managing stakeholders in this process. The UK BDM will have the support from an experienced sales manager to assist with tender processes and industry knowledge. You will both work closely with to deliver NHS customer training and product support where needed. This is a national role so will involve daily travel and overnight stays. Reporting directly to the Global Sales Director, it will require an accountable professional sales person with good organisation, drive and self motivation. Typical customer touch points will be with Theatre Managers, Scrub teams, Consultants, Procurement and EBME staff.

A recent acquisition by a European medical group means they will strengthen their offering in 2025 and grow their manufacturing capabilities in the UK. They offer a structured training and induction process and look for driven clinical sales professionals.
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will ideally come from a capital equipment sales or clinical background. Capital equipment or theatre sales background is desirable but not essential. Someone with a new business hunger selling to the NHS or a clinician with good commercial acumen would also be encouraged to apply. The role will involve a mix of sales, product training and implementation with clinicians as well as working on tenders, trial and longer term projects. You will work closely wand driving business activity in these established accounts. Daily contact with the wider team is encouraged as collaboration with other divisions will grow sales in this business unit.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Medical device sales or medical capital equipment sales experience ideally OR
· Has worked in the NHS as a clinician or understands hospital theatres.
· Previous experience of delivering product training, product evaluations and trials
· Strong new business drive, organisation and territory planning to cover a national remit
· Full driving licence and happy travelling daily to see customers.
THE PACKAGE for BDM - UK
Basic: £45-50k
Bonus: £10k OTE
Car: Company car allowance - £500pm
