Overview
Air Freight Imports Clerk role at TieTalent located in Solihull, near Birmingham. Global international freight forwarder with a focus on the Far East and USA, partnering with clients to manage freight so they can focus on their core business.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage air import shipments
* Liaise with customers, suppliers, and carriers to arrange shipping schedules, negotiate rates, and handle all necessary documentation
* Prepare and process air freight documentation
* Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance policies
* Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers and stakeholders on the status of their cargo
* Manage multiple shipments simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience of Air Imports freight forwarding
* Experience with Cargowise is preferable
* Used to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines
* Strong numerical and commercial skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong computer skills (Microsoft Windows) with Microsoft Office; Cargowise preferable
* Proactive, team player with excellent time management and organisation skills
* Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated
* Weekend overtime rota – one in four weekends you will work 4 hours on a Saturday or Sunday (can be done from home)
