The Principal Temporary Works Design Engineer will lead the design, coordination, and assurance of temporary works across a diverse portfolio of challenging civil engineering projects in London. This senior position plays a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of temporary works, working closely with project teams, designers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and buildable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the design and delivery of temporary works schemes, including formwork, falsework, propping, excavation support, scaffolding, crane bases, shafts, working platforms, and access systems.
2. Ensure all designs are fully compliant with BS 5975, Eurocodes, CDM Regulations, and relevant Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) guidance.
3. Provide technical leadership to engineers and technicians, ensuring quality, safety, and continuous development within the temporary works discipline.
