Our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Utilities Process Project Manager to oversee critical utility projects within their operations. The successful candidate will manage the upgrade and integration of chilled water, compressed air, and steam systems, as well as smaller utility projects, ensuring alignment with site expansion initiatives. This role requires a proactive leader who can work autonomously while fostering collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of utility projects, including chilled water upgrades, compressed air network improvements, and steam system tie-ins.
Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
Work closely with engineering partners to deliver detailed designs and cost estimates for utility projects.
Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on project goals.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost control measures as necessary.
Provide regular updates on project status, including cost and schedule performance.
Oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning of utility systems, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and cGMP standards.
Conduct site inspections and coordinate with contractors to resolve any issues that arise during construction.
Implement change control processes to manage project scope changes effectively.
Document and communicate changes to all relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in utilities or related fields, preferably within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Chilled water systems experience is essential.
Proven track record of managing complex utility projects from conception to completion.
Strong understanding of compressed air and steam systems.
Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and their application in project execution.
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Additional Information:
Must be self-starting, autonomous, and a team player.
Client-side pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred, but not essential.
Willingness to travel as required for project oversight.
