Overview
A Personal Assistant is required for a 6-year-old boy in HU4 area of Hull. The ideal PA will be patient, kind and caring. This young boy enjoys going to soft plays, swimming, parks, and imagination play centres.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1 to 1 supervision and support to the boy, helping him access areas of interest.
* Assist with personal care as he is still in nappies and may require some medications while out.
* Support communication since he is non-verbal and may need assistance to express needs.
* Manage challenging behaviour when upset to ensure safety at all times.
* Facilitate outings using a Motability vehicle; assist with wheelchair mobility and safety during travel.
Qualifications and preferences
* Experience of autism and pump feeding preferred.
* Ability to provide 1 to 1 supervision and understanding of complex medical needs (training provided).
* Car driver preferred; family has a Motability vehicle and mileage costs will be met by employer.
