Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing - Planned Maintenance & Voids

Salary: £50K - £60K + Benefits
We are working with a leading Social Housing contractor to recruit an experienced and successful Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Welwyn to deliver Planned Maintenance and Voids works.
We are looking for a proven commercial professional ideally with experience in social housing refurbishment programmes, knowledge of internal and external planned maintenance programmes, and a comprehensive commercial understanding of subcontractor procurement and cost management, the CVR process, as well as excellent client relationship skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Control all expenditure
2. Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
3. On-boarding of subcontractors/suppliers
4. Ensuring value for money & financial assessments
5. Manage day to day cost control & monitoring & reporting
6. Process subcontractor requests for payment via application & invoice
7. Attend project & company related meetings
8. Ensure timely cash flow management
9. Maintain & develop professional relationships with clients & customers
Essential Quantity Surveyor Experience:
1. Degree or other technical qualification
2. Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor ideally in Social Housing
3. Strong commercial awareness
4. Proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget
5. Contractual awareness
6. Negotiating, communication & presentation skills
7. Knowledge of Supply Chain management
8. RICS / CIOB qualification - Preferred
