Offer description

Are you a highly skilled Physics specialist with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching across all secondary key stages? A prestigious independent faith school is seeking an inspiring teacher to join its dynamic Science Department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position for a dedicated professional eager to make a significant impact.

Our school provides an intellectually stimulating environment where academic rigour is balanced with comprehensive pastoral care and a strong spiritual foundation. We're committed to empowering our students to achieve their full potential, particularly in STEM fields, and to becoming confident, independent learners who appreciate the harmony between scientific discovery and spiritual truth.

Join Our Pioneering Science Department

The Physics section of our Science Department is at the forefront of innovative teaching, with an emphasis on practical application and conceptual mastery. We boast cutting-edge laboratory facilities and a rich tradition of academic success, with our students consistently excelling in public examinations and securing places at prestigious universities. We foster a collaborative learning environment, supported by a strong team ethic among staff and a passion for scientific discovery that respects diverse perspectives.

Your Opportunity

* Impactful Teaching: Teach Physics across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level, shaping the minds of highly capable and motivated students.
* Exceptional Resources: Utilise modern laboratories and advanced equipment to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
* Professional Development: Access to bespoke training and opportunities to contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
* Vibrant School Community: Become part of a warm and supportive community dedicated to holistic education and student well-being within a faith context.
* Competitive Package: Receive a highly competitive salary and benefits, acknowledging your expertise and contribution.

The Role

We are looking for a Teacher of Physics who will:

* Deliver outstanding Physics lessons that challenge, engage, and inspire our students' theoretical understanding, practical skills, and critical thinking across all relevant key stages.
* Guide students in developing advanced theoretical knowledge and sophisticated practical skills.
* Provide comprehensive academic support, including preparing students for university entrance examinations where applicable.
* Contribute to the lively extracurricular science programme, enriching students' experiences beyond the classroom through Olympiad preparation, engineering projects, or science clubs.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science Department and across the school.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and encouraged to achieve their best.

Candidate Profile

* A strong degree in Physics or a related scientific discipline.
* Demonstrable experience teaching Physics to a high standard across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level in the UK is essential.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but not a barrier for an exceptional candidate with a proven track record in UK independent schools.
* An outstanding communicator with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and enthusiastically.
* A committed professional with excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to teaching.
* An individual who embraces the ethos of an independent faith school and is dedicated to fostering student achievement while upholding our core values.

How to Apply

If you are a highly qualified and inspirational Physics specialist seeking a rewarding permanent role in an outstanding independent faith school, we invite you to apply.

Please submit your CV and a compelling letter of application detailing your experience, your approach to physics education, and why you are the ideal candidate for this position. We look forward to receiving your application soon.
