About The Role
You'll join as the site's EHS Manager, leading environmental, health & safety strategy at a key UK facility. Reporting into the Regulatory Compliance Director, you'll oversee a small team and ensure full compliance with UK legislation, while embedding a proactive safety culture in a 24/7 industrial operation.
Responsibilities
* Lead all site-wide EHS strategy, compliance and policy implementation
* Develop and deliver employee and contractor training, toolbox talks and workshops
* Manage ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other relevant standards, audits, and improvements
* Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
* Represent the site in corporate EHS meetings and liaise with regulatory authorities
* Drive performance through EHS KPIs, reporting, and management engagement
* Oversee COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, CDM compliance and maintain emergency plans
* Occasional travel required to an off-site storage facility
Requirements
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification
* IOSH Managing Safely
* Lead Auditor qualification
* Proven experience in manufacturing, recycling, or waste management environments
* In-depth knowledge of UK HSE Legislation and ISO standards
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
* Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK without sponsorship
Package
* Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
