Overview
The postholder is an integral part of the Pharmacy Administrative Service and will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Pharmacy Directorate, ensuring the highest level of confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Pharmacy Directorate.
* Provide secretarial support for Pharmacy Governance meetings, producing agendas, taking minutes, reports and correspondence.
* Perform word processing, data entry and data collection tasks.
* Work as part of the Pharmacy Administration team, including clerical support and cross‑cover for the Administrative Support team during absences.
* Demonstrate initiative and organise own workload within clear procedural guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
* Good level of education to GCSE including Mathematics and English.
* RSA/OCSR 3 Typing/Audio Typing/Word processing or equivalent experience.
* Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification in a relevant area.
* Minute‑taking skills.
* Knowledge of a range of administrative support procedures.
* Good keyboard and IT skills.
* Strong organisational skills, motivated and able to work on own initiative.
* Able to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

* Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to use tact and empathy.
* Ability to change work practices to facilitate developments of the department or service.

Compensation & Benefits
Permanent contract, full‑time, band 3, salary £24,937 to £26,598 per annum, location New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton.
