We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking for long-term stability, a great work–life balance, and an early finish on Fridays.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm (early finish)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Setting and operating CNC machines, with a strong preference for experience on Mazak machines using Mazatrol controls
2. Producing precision components to tight tolerances
3. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
4. Carrying out tool changes, offsets, and basic program edits
5. Ensuring quality standards are met through self-inspection
6. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
7. Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing or engineering environment
8. Experience with Mazak / Mazatrol controls (essential or highly desirable)
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
10. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
11. Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a machine shop
