Job Description:

WordPress Developer – West Midlands - £50k

We are looking for an experienced and motivated WordPress Developer to join a dynamic in-house marketing team that also has its own internal design agency specialising in B2C dental and health marketing. This is an exciting role working with an entrepreneurial team where you will have the opportunity to shape the role and grow within the business. The role offers remote working with a monthly on-site team meeting in Birmingham, salary £50k depending on experience.

The Company

Our client is a highly successful dental growth company with a vast network across the UK. They deliver strategic brand and creative marketing solutions for hundreds of dental and health marketing companies across the UK. They are experiencing good organic growth and have recently strengthened their digital and creative team, with this role being a new addition. This is a great time to join them on their growth journey. They have won awards and treat their staff extremely well, making them a very desirable place to work.

With our client’s commitment to candidate experience, they have entrusted us as their sole agency, ensuring every application is responded to and treated appropriately and with respect. Your application will be handled by a specialist consultant with a deep knowledge of this opportunity.

About the role

As WordPress Developer, you will report to the Head of Digital and be responsible for building responsive website solutions using WordPress, overseeing front-end development of their websites, which are mainly created using bespoke custom WordPress themes.

You will also manage existing websites for clients, performing updates, content management, QA testing, and overseeing theme development, as well as bringing new ideas to the table.

About you

You are an experienced WordPress developer with strong front-end development skills. You enjoy working in a team environment, have good communication skills, and a can-do attitude.

This role will grow over time, so you should be willing to handle detailed work and initial standalone responsibilities, with potential for growth due to the business's expansion.

You are solutions-focused and curious about creating better themes and templates, aiming to produce work you are proud of.

Experience needed to apply:

* Strong experience with WordPress, theme development, and plugins.
* Experience with responsive and mobile-friendly web design.
* Knowledge of SEO best practices.
* Proficient with a Mac and high IT technical skills.
* Up-to-date with latest trends and techniques.

Get in touch

If you are passionate about creating dynamic, visually appealing websites with proven WordPress skills, please apply. Note: While mainly remote, preference is given to candidates within 1.5 hours of central Birmingham.
