We're delighted to be partnering with a supportive and inclusive School in St Albans, currently seeking a SEND Teaching and Learning Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, academically strong, and committed to helping children with SEND thrive both academically and emotionally.
Your Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND
* Deliver targeted interventions in core subjects, adapted to individual learning needs
* Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH needs, speech & language delays, or other learning differences
* Help children build confidence, emotional regulation, and independent learning skills
* Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to apply tailored SEND strategies
* Track progress and share meaningful feedback with staff and families
What We're Looking For:
* Experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting
* Strong academic background (degree preferred - especially in English or Maths)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Able to commute to or live in St Albans
