We’re looking for a Hygiene Manager who understands that food safety isn’t a department, it’s a discipline. Someone who can lead night hygiene teams with confidence, build standards that stick, and use data, people and process to keep raising the bar.

The role
You’ll lead the night hygiene operation, using OPEX principles to deliver food safety, hygiene excellence and continuous improvement. You’ll build a strong safety culture, drive standards, and make sure the basics are never negotiable - even at 3am.
You’ll coach team leaders, influence across functions, and turn insight into action.
What you’ll be doing
* Building a strong, visible safety-first culture
* Driving hygiene standards that reduce risk and protect people and product
* Leading, coaching and developing night hygiene teams
* Creating and delivering a hygiene strategy aligned to site goals
* Using OPEX tools and data to identify root cause and drive improvement
* Ensuring SOP compliance, audit readiness and strong hygiene KPIs
* Strengthening handovers and communication between days and nights
* Continuously reviewing and improving cleaning methods and effectiveness
What you’ll bring
* Experience leading a night hygiene operation
* Strong knowledge of hygiene best practice, microbiology and food safety
* The ability to influence behaviour, not just enforce rules
* A coaching mindset and natural leadership style
* Confidence using data to drive decisions and improvements
* Relevant hygiene qualification (or equivalent experience); COSHH knowledge a plus
