We have an exciting opportunity to lead strategic planning and business management within the largest digital transformation programme in the Environment & Business directorate. This programme aims to revolutionize environmental regulation through digital services.
The successful candidate will lead within the Programme Management Office (PMO), contributing to financial and business management to mitigate risks, resolve barriers, and ensure value for money, aligning with the programme's business case.
We seek someone with a proven track record in managing complex financial information, promoting value for money, and influencing ongoing investments.
Key Tasks:
* Understanding and supporting the financial and economic aspects of the programme's business case and bids.
* Ensuring programme deliverables meet strategic objectives and managing change control processes.
* Collaborating with delivery teams to assure changes in scope, cost, and quality are affordable and value-adding.
* Managing stakeholder queries and providing regular financial and programme reports.
* Supporting investment and funding activities.
* Ensuring adherence to governance and assurance standards.
* Supporting business management through cost allocations across the programme lifecycle.
The Team:
You will be part of the Digital, Innovation and Programmes team, responsible for implementing the Digital Strategy across E&B, working with multidisciplinary teams, shared services, and external suppliers to deliver user-centered digital services efficiently and effectively.
Experience and Skills Required:
* Experience in fast-paced, dynamic programme environments.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, SharePoint, PowerBI, etc.).
* Experience managing complex financial data.
* Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and funding processes within government organizations.
* Experience with business case development, approval, and assurance processes.
* Knowledge of governance around spend control and assurance.
* Proven ability to lead, engage stakeholders, and drive innovation.
