Clean/Full driving licence and own transport.

Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm Friday - 9:00am - 4:30pm.

JOB PURPOSE
Ensure that Two Saints technology framework operates smoothly and efficiently. To manage and maintain the IT infrastructure, which includes hardware, software, and networks, in a Microsoft 365, cloud-based environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist the IT manager with all aspects of support for the network infrastructure, including, but not limited to, internal Cat-5 network cabling, firewall / router management, switch management, wi-fi provision (both staff and client), networked MFD management. At the same time ensuring that the contracted standards of service and support are met by our suppliers
2. Assist the IT Manager to project manage and execute network updates, new equipment installs, equipment moves and changes
3. Liaise with third party vendors to ensure all networked devices have up to date firmware in line with the requirements of adopted security standards.
4. Subject to funding restraints, arrange or provide cost effective maintenance support for both the staff and client IT requirements not covered under 3rd Party contracts
5. Manage or assist in the implementation or decommissioning of new services, working closely with external organisations and ensuring staff involvement where relevant. This may include the deployment of new service locations
6. Working with third party network providers, maintain and develop Two Saints IP Network schema documentation.
7. Building and maintaining a good working relationship with all partners and vendors, assisting them daily to resolve IT issues in a timely manner
8. Working with our principal suppliers to deliver hardware and services as requested by the IT manager or senior management team.
9. Actively support the IT Manager in delivering the organisations digital priorities.
10. Record progress against assigned tasks and actions to ensure the IT Manager has visibility of progress.
11. Work closely with the IT Manager in ensuring the organisation has a suitable network strategy in place and assist in implementing this.
12. Primary contact for principal suppliers, ensuring the organisational needs are met by regular communication
13. Create and develop required reports for the organisation, including producing monthly and quarterly reports for the senior management teams.
14. Responsible for using the organisations preferred reporting tools to produce meaningful reports
15. Manage the My IT (Client Internet Provision) solution. Assisting in implementations but also ensure any issues are resolved in a timely manner
16. Where required, responsible for ordering equipment, licenses and any software, ensuring the annual budget is adhered to and ensuring cost effectiveness
17. Responsible for the administration and daily integrity checks of all the network systems within the organisation.
18. Maintain accurate records of hardware serial numbers
19. Produce usage reports to the IT Manager as requested
20. In conjunction with third parties, assist the IT Manager in maintaining the corporate CCTV and telephony systems.
21. Attend sites to provide support and installation of IT systems

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

23. This role will require an enhanced disclosure and barring service check which is a requirement for this role. This would be completed on appointment of the role.
24. This role will require a full drivers’ licence and access to a vehicle
25. This role will require you to work flexibly across several sites

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

27. Infrastructure Management: Planning and overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and support of IT systems, including servers, storage, networking equipment, networked printing, endpoints and wi-fi.
28. Network Administration: Managing and monitoring network performance (including wi-fi), ensuring reliable and secure connectivity across the organization.
29. System Upgrades: Planning and implementing system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations while enhancing performance and security.
30. Vendor Management: Coordinating with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of hardware, software, and support services.
31. Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of IT professionals, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to support the infrastructure.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

32. Disaster Recovery: Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or other disruptions.
33. Budgeting: Managing the IT infrastructure budget, optimizing costs while ensuring that the organization's technology needs are met.
