About the Role
Senior Associate / Legal Director – Up to £160,000 – REF 868250AL
We are working with a highly respected law firm to recruit experienced lawyers for their expanding Regulatory team. This team advises businesses and individuals on complex investigations and prosecutions relating to health & safety, fire safety, food safety, environmental law, and corporate manslaughter.
You will work on a diverse caseload, including:
* Advising clients facing investigations and prosecutions by regulators such as HSE, Police, Local Authorities, Fire Authorities, Environment Agency.
* Preparing PACE submissions and representing clients during interviews under caution
* Handling inquests and public inquiries
* Providing compliance advice and risk management guidance
* Supporting clients through high-profile cases and urgent on-site situations
* Assisting with business development, training sessions, and client presentations
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in regulatory law (health & safety, environmental, food safety, fire safety)
* A Solicitor with 10+ PQE
* Experience advising on investigations, prosecutions, sentencing hearings, and inquests
* Strong legal drafting, analytical, and technical skills
* Ability to manage complex cases independently and exceed fee targets
* Business development experience and client relationship management skills
* Willingness to travel at short notice (driving licence essential)
Desirable:
* Experience in product safety, trading standards, or related compliance work
