We understand that success is achieved through our people, and we are searching for a committed and passionate Duty Manager to join our growing business. As Duty Manager, you will work as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 per hour supplement for the time that you manage shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers.
2. Play an active role in your store to "sell a 1 & save a 1" to help drive sales.
3. Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
4. Engage, develop & retain great people:
* Support and work proactively with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
* Support team engagement in your store.
* Create an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
* Share your knowledge to support team up-skilling.
1. Follow all processes correctly:
* Complete actions from your line manager focusing on customer experience.
* Maintain a positive service approach in store and at the doorstep.
* Implement cash handling and security policies.
* Adopt all "One Best Way" digital processes.
2. Leadership:
* Be approachable and love your customers.
* Respect colleagues and work enthusiastically together.
* Take action to reduce waste.
* Care about the business and team.
Additional Requirements:
Experience in retail management or supervisory roles is ideal but not essential. Effective communication, shift planning, providing feedback, and team leadership are important.
