Our client a multi-award-winning, independent provider of component repair and technical services for airlines and the global aviation community is recruiting for an Approved Avionics Technician to be based at Stansted Airport.

Main Purpose of the Approved Avionics Technician role:
To carry out repairs on avionic components to the required technical and regulatory standards in a timely and efficient manner. The role includes responsibility for signing off one’s own work and planning daily tasks to achieve the best commercial outcomes while ensuring high-quality service and compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Perform repairs on avionic components in accordance with technical documentation and company procedures.
* Accurately update the company maintenance tracking system throughout the repair process to reflect progress, identify delays, and ensure accurate delivery forecasting.
* Aim to meet or exceed agreed delivery dates for all repairs.
* Review and maintain capability files and software records for components being serviced, especially during non-productive time.
* Contribute to departmental meetings by providing constructive feedback and suggesting process improvements.
* Report to and liaise with the Avionics Inspector / Team Leader.
* Collaborate with the Avionics team to resolve issues and progress challenging repair tasks.
* Maintain high service levels and ensure on-time delivery for all customer requirements.
* Effectively manage and utilise available test equipment to maximise output.
* Liaise with the Commercial Team when required to support technical and delivery matters.
To Be Considered:
* Previous experience in avionics engineering or component-level repair.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in repair and documentation.
* Effective communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written.
* Ability to multi-task, prioritise work, and meet tight deadlines.
* Flexibility with working hours, when required to meet operational needs.
* Confident working both independently and within a team.
* Awareness of the commercial impact of your role and a focus on cost-effective repairs.
