HR Advisor - 12months Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) at A.P. Moller - Maersk. This role is a 12 month Fixed Term contract (Maternity Cover). The People Advisory team for UK and Ireland is looking for a People Advisor to join our team in Derby, Great Britain. The role provides support to our East Midlands warehouse and depot and requires presence on the site Monday - Friday. As People Advisor, you’ll help solve HR-related queries for employees and leaders to ensure a great employee experience in every interaction with HR.

Responsibilities
* Own people’s inquiries about HR policies and procedures, understand their needs, investigate options, seek solutions, and partner with other HR colleagues to resolve the inquiries.
* Work in close connection with warehouse site managers to support with benefits, policies & procedures, advising and supporting employees during workplace-related concerns and allegations, ensuring a fair and equitable work environment, and appropriately resolving misconduct.
* Actively work in Workday (HR management system) and Service Now.
* Guide and train employees and managers in the new HR systems and service delivery model.
* Support the delivery of the HR Cycle with administrative tasks related to onboarding, annual performance management, job moves, exit, etc.
* Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of HR-related documents (e.g., Employee Records, HR Policies & Procedures, Compliance Auditing, Benefits & Compensation). Mitigate potential legal and compliance risks through diligent review and maintenance of documentation.
What We Are Looking For
* In-depth knowledge of UK labour laws and a strong foundation in HR principles, practices, and legal compliance requirements.
* Experience in resolving employee relations issues.
* Great collaboration and communication skills.
* Fluency in written and verbal English.
* Experience in Workday or other HRIS would be an asset.
