Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety practices. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our guests and uphold the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Experience in making wood-fired pizza an advantage but not essential. Applicants will be expected to help out with other sections such as desserts, cleaning and general prep
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including proper storage of ingredients
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
* Innovate new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary setting
* Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Previous kitchen experience is essential; culinary qualifications are preferred
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail

Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
