This is a development role within the democratic services team to build capacity and to enable workforce planning by providing direct support to the Service Manager and Senior Democratic Services Officers while developing a wide area of knowledge within the service area by working alongside an experienced and knowledgeable team. You will be required to provide support to the council democratic processes, principally decision making arrangements involving elected Members. This includes supporting a range of meetings such as committees, sub committees, working parties, etc. The role provides reliable advice and support to Members and others as necessary to ensure that all procedures comply with the requirements of relevant legislation and the Council’s Constitution.
