Overview
Costain has been appointed by Northumbrian Water to the Living Water Enterprise to support the AMP 8 investment cycle. The Senior Site Agent will lead the delivery of projects valued between £10m and £25m, covering both STW upgrades and Storm Overflow works, managing the design, construction and site operations teams across the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the wider team to develop robust plans and forecasts for delivery aligned to Costain’s processes.
* Lead the development of delivery strategies, programme and budget, ensuring robust scope challenge and compliance with contractual requirements.
* Build collaborative relationships with site operations, supply chain and delivery teams for effective project execution.
* Create a positive working culture that promotes safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery while adapting plans to accommodate changes.
* Support the drive to achieve zero LTI and RIDDOR incidents.
* Provide consistent and reliable reporting of project performance into the framework.
* Report key project and programme risks and work with the wider team to mitigate or manage effectively.
Qualifications
* HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Project level experience on contracts over £5m.
* Experience on multidisciplinary projects.
* Experience working with MEICA interfaces and/or in a water environment is beneficial.
* Team player capable of developing relationships and demonstrating collaborative behaviours.
* Experience of managing and delivering projects safely to quality, time and budget.
* Practical knowledge of delivering to NEC contract forms.
* Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders across client, operational sites and design partners.
* Computer competence using standard Microsoft tools, document control systems, and Primavera software.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* SMSTS qualification.
* Willingness to work across multiple sites throughout the North East.
