The Commercial Business Manager will be responsible for identifying and managing strategic opportunities within the Healthcare Systems and Technologies business across the UK and Ireland. This role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with the Head of Sales, National Sales Managers and Territory Account Managers, and other HST functions to drive key opportunities within the NHS to a successful close for the business. The Strategic Account Manager will play a crucial role in identifying opportunities at an early, pre-tender stage, ensuring efficient management of all key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing, nurturing and maximizing existing partnerships with our major customers in collaboration with other internal stakeholders
2. Identify opportunities for growth – Lead partnership development in major accounts
3. Develop relationships at senior levels within NHS establishments to access strategic buying influencers
4. To develop and present the PSS Baxter Total Bed Management offering to targeted NHS customers.
5. Lead strategic tenders in cooperation with the tender team and internal/external partners
6. Work in cooperation with the Sales Manager and Account Managers to identify revenue opportunities for HST across all PSS portfolios
7. Work in cooperation with the Marketing team to ensure business goals and strategies are aligned
8. Engage with central purchasing groups and present the total value proposition of Baxter
9. Ensure close collaboration with the commercial operations team to ensure delivery of the key goals and objectives for the position.
10. Proactively report and track the regional/national performance for pre-identified accounts and NHS Frameworks, analyse and define corrective or optimization plans, communicate the actions and results.
11. Participate in the collection, analysis and reporting the market needs for new products and services or enhancements to existing offerings. Scan the market for potential partnerships, as required for customer centric approach.

Competencies/Experience:

13. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Medical Sales, with a proven track record in sales and managing/growing large, strategic accounts
14. Experience within the UK bed and surfaces market – deep market insight Highly beneficial
15. Customer focused mindset with a passion for improving healthcare delivery
16. Ability to work independently, but also collaborative within a team
17. Proven track record of c suite engagement
18. Strategic thinker - Build complex account plans, manage resources required
19. Results driven, with a proactive approach to achieving goals
20. Engage/motivate others to reach goals and creative a positive environment
21. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
22. Ability to develop and implement solutions
23. Contract and negotiation skills
24. Excellent communication and presentation skills
25. Proficiency in CRM software
