Role Summary

Watson Fuels is expanding its depot-based regional teams following the reopening of local depots to better serve domestic, agricultural, and commercial customers in their communities.

We're looking for Account Executives who know the fuel industry - people who understand seasonal demand, bulk delivery logistics, and the value of a trusted local supplier relationship.

This is a commercially autonomous role with uncapped commission, where you'll own your territory, grow profitable sales, and work closely with depot operations to deliver the reliable service our customers depend on.

Key Responsibilities

* Achieve sales, margin, and revenue targets across domestic, agricultural, and commercial accounts.
* Win new business and grow existing accounts within your depot's territory.
* Build and maintain a strong, value-driven pipeline of fuel customers.
* Manage pricing discussions across product lines within agreed guidelines.
* Act as the primary commercial contact for your customers, from smallholders to large agricultural operations to commercial fleets.
* Collaborate with depot operations, planning, and customer service to ensure reliable delivery and a dependable customer experience.
* Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasting.
* Share market intelligence and competitor feedback to keep Watson Fuels ahead locally.

What Success Looks Like:

* Strong new business acquisition and account retention across all customer types.
* Healthy, well-qualified pipeline with solid margin protection.
* High customer satisfaction built on trust and consistent service.
* Accurate forecasting that helps the depot plan effectively through peak demand periods.

Essential Requirements:

* Proven sales experience, ideally within the fuel, energy, or related sectors (heating oil, red diesel, kerosene, LPG, lubricants, or similar).
* Solid understanding of fuel customer needs across domestic, agricultural, or commercial markets.
* Strong territory and diary management; you're self-sufficient and organised.
* Comfortable working to KPIs and commercial targets.
* Good IT literacy, including CRM tools.
* A collaborative approach; you'll work closely with your depot team.

Desirable:

* Direct experience in fuel distribution or bulk liquid sales.
* Experience managing accounts through seasonal peaks and high-demand periods.
* Existing relationships within agricultural, haulage, or rural commercial sectors.
* Familiarity with fuel pricing structures and margin management.
