Responsibilities
* Provide person‑centred care and support to tenants, enabling them to take part in all aspects of everyday life and enjoy a wide range of activities.
* Demonstrate positive communication and engagement, showing unconditional positive regard for the people we support.
* Work within a positive behaviour support framework, accept responsibility and grow in confidence as a skilled practitioner.
* Follow agreed guidelines and work positively within a consistent and mutually supportive team.
* Take responsibility as a Key Worker/Co‑Key Worker to plan alongside members of the person's wider support network, enabling individuals to be happy, healthy and successful in achieving their wishes and aspirations.
* Support with personal care and domestic tasks, and facilitate social engagement and community activities such as walking, swimming and going to the gym.
* Assist the management team to lead and supervise a team of Support Workers, implementing individualised support and ensuring consistency and effective communication throughout.
Qualifications
* Prior experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities (essential).
* Relevant qualification or willingness to work towards an NVQ Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or 3.
* Ability to support people with a wide range of presenting needs (essential).
