Main Purpose of Job
We aim to use sport to engage communities and promote active, socially connected lifestyles. We seek an ambitious, personable, and experienced Senior Project Coordinator to oversee impactful programmes focused on improving physical health among diverse target groups, including refugees, mental health service users, and adults aged 55+. The role involves supporting innovative projects like the upcoming Clubhouse Café in Gunnersbury Park and developing social impact initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, autonomous, and adept at working in a fast-paced environment, with strong time management skills. Creativity in session design, promotion, and network-building is essential. Some unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading programme setup, planning, and delivery within budget and resource constraints.
- Delivering accessible, high-quality sessions to improve physical health.
- Promoting programmes through digital and print media to target audiences.
- Advocating for best practices and promoting physical and mental wellbeing.
- Building professional relationships and maintaining a positive organisational image.
Impact measurement and reporting duties involve:
- Recording participant data on Views or Salesforce.
- Reporting impact data to funders.
- Creating engaging impact presentations with the Media and Communications team.
Safeguarding, risk management, and support tasks include:
- Ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies and recording concerns appropriately.
- Collaborating across teams for safeguarding consistency.
- Conducting risk assessments and supporting individuals with health and social care referrals.
Essential criteria include:
- A relevant degree or qualification in sport/exercise sciences or related fields.
- Knowledge of physical health and activity's role in health outcomes.
- Experience delivering exercise/sports sessions.
- Programme planning and coordination skills.
- Understanding of societal health challenges and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- A flexible, proactive, and collaborative work approach.
- Experience working with NHS mental health programmes.
- Valid First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and Safeguarding certificates.
- A UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Level 3 personal training or related qualifications.
- NGB Level 1 coaching.
- Experience marketing programmes.
- Knowledge of local community issues.
