Band 5 Part‑Time Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Aim: To participate in the delivery of a patient‑focused, pharmacy service for outpatients and inpatients, including ward‑based services, provided through the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH) pharmacy dispensary as part of acute pharmacy services within NHS Grampian.
Responsibilities
* Manage dispensary workload and supervise, train, and support dispensary staff to allow provision of an efficient, economic and safe dispensing service.
* Participate in training and education of ward staff, implementation of new policies and procedures and service‑level audits.
* Participate in the pharmacy department weekend and public holiday rota.
Qualifications
* Qualified General Pharmaceutical Council registered pharmacy technician with relevant and substantial post‑qualification experience.
* Accredited checking technician qualification required; if not held, must be undertaken.
Additional Information for Candidates
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
