About the role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Committee Officer to support the delivery of the Council’s democratic and governance processes. You will play a key role in ensuring meetings run smoothly and decisions are properly recorded and implemented.
Key responsibilities
* Organise and service council meetings, including agendas and minutes
* Provide administrative and procedural support to councillors and staff
* Prepare reports, briefing papers, and correspondence
* Support appeals and panel hearings, including recording outcomes
* Ensure decisions are followed up and implemented
What we’re looking for
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Good attention to detail and confidentiality
* Experience in administration or local government (desirable)
