Associate Civil Engineer

Our client, a successful Civil and Structural design consultancy with multiple offices across the UK, is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer for various locations. In this role, you will support and lead teams to achieve technical and commercial targets. A forward-thinking candidate will lead and deliver innovative projects, promote the company to clients, and drive success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
* Develop concept designs and oversee projects from inception to completion.
* Produce high-quality designs related to feasibility, costing, and construction, including highways, drainage, street works, public works, SUDS, utilities, and service diversions.
* Influence development and infrastructure master-planning, applying knowledge of relevant standards and legislation.
* Lead teams in consultancy guidance, feasibility studies, and detailed design, referencing industry standards and regulations.
* Coordinate site investigations, inspections, and problem-solving efforts.
* Manage project costs, prepare invoices, and oversee resource planning.
* Supervise staff and provide mentorship and guidance.
* Represent the company at client meetings and industry events.
* Assist in recruitment and staff management, ensuring successful project delivery.
* Develop competitive fee proposals and contribute to business development activities.
* Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) records in accordance with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
* Utilize industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Flow/Micro-drainage, TEDDS, and project management tools.
Candidate requirements:
* Chartered membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers and/or the Institution of Structural Engineers is preferred.
* Support for professional accreditation progression will be considered.
