We are seeking a full-time Operations Performance Lead for a hospital.
We are seeking a full-time Operations Performance Lead for a hospitals Community Diagnostic Centre Programme (CDC). The post holder will be responsible for the effective operational delivery of the ongoing CDC Programme at the Hospital, as well as for the delivery of specific projects. It is a varied and extensive role. The post holder will work in partnership with the Clinical Leads ensuring operational issues are addressed in a timely fashion and ensure that the hospital collectively achieves the challenging access, financial and clinical governance standards.
Using project management methodology, the postholder will bring together key projects within the CDC programme; leading and monitoring delivery, and supporting new initiatives to become established. The post holder will have a good understanding of the emerging Department of Health and NHSE strategic direction and ensure that the teams are ready to respond to this challenging and changing agenda. The postholder will take lead responsibility for ensuring the CDC benchmarks positively compared to budgeted targets and quality performance. They will continue to develop a culture of continuous improvement within the programme.
What you will do:
Utilise good organisational, inter-personal and information management skills. Have oversight of the preparation and collation of the Hospital Performance Report, on a monthly basis as well as providing data for business planning rounds.
Act independently and on own initiative and inspire others through a bias for action and setting a professional and positive example, challenging traditional practices and encouraging innovative problem solving amongst staff.
Act as the lead within designated specialty area for QIPP delivery, ensuring links are made between existing QIPP projects, supporting the establishment of new projects and monitoring delivery of QIPP projects.
Ensure that all capacity issues are addressed with relevant teams to ensure that monthly reporting and visibility of performance and risks that could and half-year targets are met, providing reports for leads to mitigate
Writing PIDs for business development and service lines
Coordinate the replacement and procurement of equipment with finance and external suppliers
Coordinate and implement liaison with external referrers (GPs, OIS, Referral Mgt Centres)
Monitor plan and achieve continuous performance improvement by pro-actively benchmarking performance using both internal and external comparators across the CDC. Ensure potential threats to achieving targets are identified, managed effectively and that innovation is encouraged.
To develop business and operational plans for your specialty, with support from the Specialty Manager, as required. Lead on writing business cases to support the development of the services managed.
Monitor demand and activity against commissioned activity levels and initiate actions to resolve any issues.
Lead and plan potential projects, service developments and develop operational plans for the introduction of agreed developments within the speciality and with other trust clinical and corporate departments where necessary.
To analyse and respond to ad-hoc situations in a timely, but objective manner when unplanned changes in supply/demand.
Lead and support on designated projects across areas of responsibility to ensure effective communication and standardisaion of practice, including the review of working practices/processes.
Assess and analyse complex data gathered from various sources, together with own audits as and when required, in order to identify patterns and trends to enable effective and informed decision making and long-term planning of services.
Ensure that statutory and mandatory regulations placed upon the service are met or agreed action plans are developed to rectify shortfalls.
