Specialist OH Nurse Advisor / Team Leader
To provide clear visible professional advice to employees within the Trust and external clients. Manage and provide professional leadership to Occupational Health Nurse Advisors and the wider multidisciplinary team within the Occupational Health department.
To assist the Service Lead for Staff Health and Wellbeing in leading and advancing clinical practice in line with DoH guidelines and legislation. To provide all aspects of nursing care including consultation, advice, education, testing, and immunizations where appropriate and in accordance with patient group directives and departmental protocols.
Main duties of the job
* Managing own caseload of complex management referrals for the purpose of sickness absence management through assessment and planning of Occupational Health care of an individual.
* To advise on an individual's fitness to work, rehabilitation, and phased return to work programs, ensuring that appropriate information is provided regarding the Equality Act (EqA) including advice on reasonable adjustment to the workplace.
* To provide professional leadership, advice, support, and guidance to the Occupational Health Nurse Advisors and wider multidisciplinary team.
* Act as a professional role model and provide strong, facilitative, and effective clinical leadership.
* To provide health surveillance in accordance with current legislation. To empower Occupational Health Nurse advisors to undertake a wider range of clinical activities by ensuring appropriate training, updating, and monitoring of relevant training programs.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* RN, ROH. Registration on Part 1 & 3 of NMC register.
* Degree / Diploma in Occupational Health.
Experience
* Extensive post-graduate nursing experience including proven previous OH work experience.
* Supervisory experience.
* Occupational health experience in the NHS.
* Ability to make OH decisions.
Skills
* Good communication skills - oral and written.
* Excellent leadership and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate, and involve individuals and teams.
* Able to make independent judgments.
* Ability to organize and prioritize own workload.

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 per year, Pro Rata Per Annum
