THE ROLE:
Reporting to senior leadership and working closely with production teams, the Manufacturing Manager will oversee the daily operations of machining and manufacturing functions. This role is responsible for ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, health and safety compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Manager plays a critical role in resource planning, team development, and delivering both operational and strategic objectives.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Engage with Field Services, Engineering, and HSEQ & Testing teams to align on production needs and delivery timelines
• Oversee manufacturing operations including CNC operations, post-process treatments, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximise efficiency
• Lead, manage, support and develop the manufacturing team
• Ensure equipment, tooling, and resources are available and effectively utilised
• Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and procedures to achieve right-first-time quality and efficiency
• Ensure adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances for consistent, high-quality production
• Support Engineering teams to optimise component designs for streamlined manufacturing
• Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and ensure reliable machine performance
• Ensure accurate production records, job tracking, and reporting for management review
• Drive quality checks, root cause analysis, and corrective actions when non-conformances occur
• Manage stock levels of raw materials and finished goods to support operations
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Adhere to existing work practices, methods, and procedures
• Continuously review and evaluate workflows and processes to identify improvement opportunities, and develop/implement enhanced or standardised procedures to drive efficiency and consistency
• Undertake relevant training and development activities as required
• Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines
• Comply with company health and safety policies and procedures
• Perform any reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function in line with the level of the role
• Maintain familiarity with the organisation’s structure and reporting lines
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Extensive experience as a CNC Machinist/Programmer
• Proven background in management within a production environment
• Excellent knowledge of safety protocols
