Job Description
Reed Legal are supporting a dynamic PE backed technology business based in South Oxfordshire to recruit an interim Legal Counsel to join their in-house team for at least 6 months.
Key Accountability & Responsibilities
As Legal Counsel, you’ll be a key member of the team helping to deliver timely, high quality and commercially astute advice on all aspects of the business. You should be prepared to be involved in any aspect of the team’s broad range of legal and regulatory work which includes:
* drafting all types of commercial agreement and working closely with other teams to ensure all supplier negotiations are aligned to the company’s strategic and legal objectives
* reviewing and advising on sales and marketing activity to ensure regulatory compliance
* effectively managing litigation matters and providing dispute management support
* liaising with external lawyers and external advisers as required
* provide proactive strategic advice and guidance on aspects of all applicable law and regulation, including the Electronic Communications Code.
* supporting the business on data protection related matters and compliance and risk management across the business
* supporting corporate governance, board management and financing activities
This role has a broad remit with a large element of focus on commercial contracts and commercial agreements. However also supporting on GDPR, marketing, internal policies and regulatory compliance issues.
You will be a fully qualified solicitor with demonstrable inhouse experience and ideally available to start within the next 3-4 weeks.
Hybrid working is available - you will be in their South Oxfordshire office twice per week.
