Theatre Practitioner – Scrub (Band 6)

Key Responsibilities
* Support Band 7 Sisters and Charge Nurses with day‑to‑day operational management of the theatre suite, ensuring high standards of patient care and efficient service provision.
* Assist departmental leads in maintaining an efficient and effective service delivering safe patient care within an environment that promotes a responsive approach to changing health‑care needs.
* Provide supervisory management and leadership skills; be motivated towards self‑development in both management and leadership studies.
* Support and work in conjunction with Team Managers to ensure the effective delivery of high standards of nursing care.
* Lead on a day‑to‑day basis the running of specialist clinical area/department, and when allocated act as the daily coordinator for the department, providing supervisory management and leadership skills in an environment which is complex and pressurised.
* Work as a skilled emergency Practitioner, working autonomously to support other colleagues to coordinate the clinical areas and to provide specialised knowledge ensuring the maintenance and development of a skilled nursing/Practitioner workforce.
* Participate in an on‑call and night rota, on AFC terms.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Band 6 healthcare practitioner with relevant experience.
* Compatible with out‑of‑hours working and participation in an on‑call rota to support a 24/7 service.
* Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh (English and/or Welsh speakers welcome).
* Motivated towards self‑development in management and leadership studies.
