We are looking for dedicated and experienced EHCP Casework Officers (SEND) to join our team.
As an EHCP Casework Officer (SEND), you will play a key role in managing and overseeing various cases. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation and improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that our children and young people with SEND achieve well and lead happy and fulfilled lives. You will work co-productively with children, young people, and parents/carers, as well as with partners from Education, Health, and Care services.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of children and young people with SEND.
* Coordinate person-centred, outcome-focused EHC needs assessments and reviews.
* Develop clear, concise, and accessible EHC Plans.
* Ensure statutory compliance with national legislation and local policy.
* Provide advice and guidance to schools and settings.
* Conduct annual reviews and amend EHC Plans within statutory timescales.
* Promote positive working relationships with parents, schools, and practitioners.
We are looking for a candidate with the following essential skills and experience:
* Degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
* Experience of SEN casework and SEND statutory processes and procedures.
* Excellent casework skills, including analytical assessments and developing SMART plans.
* Practical understanding of relevant legislation and guidance (Children & Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice: 0 to 25 years).
* Ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team.
* Experience of facilitating multi-agency meetings.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to use management information systems and IT skills for accurate case recordings.
