Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to join a leading Housing Association in Manchester, delivering high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management services across a defined patch while helping to create sustainable, thriving communities.
THE ROLE
As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will deliver a customer-focused housing and tenancy management service within a designated geographical area, ensuring residents receive an exceptional first point of contact resolution and proactive neighbourhood support.
Manage a defined neighbourhood patch, delivering high-quality tenancy and estate management services
Act as the main point of contact for residents, resolving tenancy and neighbourhood issues efficiently
Carry out estate inspections and ensure properties, estates and communal areas are maintained to a high standard
Address anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches and safeguarding concerns in line with policy and legislation
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support community regeneration and customer independence
Provide advice and guidance to customers to sustain tenancies and promote positive community engagement
Maintain accurate case records and utilise housing management systems effectively to manage workload and performanceTHE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a Neighbourhood Officer, Housing Officer or similar housing management role within social housing or a related sector.
Strong understanding of tenancy and estate management principles
Experience dealing with anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches and safeguarding matters
Knowledge of property condition issues and estate standards
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload autonomously
Strong communication and partnership working skills with a proactive, customer-focused approachTHE CONTRACT
Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm (35 hours per week)
Length of Contract: Permanent Contract
Agile/ Hybrid working
Salary: £41,903 per annum
