As an experienced veterinary surgeon and leader, you will be responsible for the delivery of overall clinic performance, encompassing clinical, financial, and people management aspects. You understand and are passionate about the aims and model of Creature Comforts, promoting these values to your team and clients. You will have autonomy to lead the clinic, supported and guided by Creature Comforts leadership. Your role includes line managing, supporting, and developing the vet team, the nursing director, and the practice director.

Main purpose and goals
* Lead clinical delivery, spending approximately 80% of your time clinically.
* Support team members to work to their maximum qualification levels.
* Ensure excellent teamwork and clinical governance, including audits and performance improvements.
* Lead education and CPD initiatives, promoting evidence-based medicine.
* Identify new clinical opportunities.
Business Performance
* Focus on membership growth and client satisfaction, working with relevant teams to achieve targets.
Clinic strategy and critical areas
* Implement health & safety policies, contribute to marketing, and ensure excellent client communication and complaint management.
Financial management
* Understand and influence the P&L, KPIs, and pricing to drive financial performance and achieve break-even as a startup.
Leadership of practice & team
* Lead by example, support and develop the clinical team, and oversee education and quality standards.
Direct management
* Manage Practice Director and Nursing Director, conduct regular performance reviews, and ensure effective communication.
Wellbeing
* Promote a culture of respect and inclusion, early issue detection, and mental health support.
Advocacy
* Support the development of Creature Comforts, promote its ethos within the industry, and engage in community events.
