SEND Science Teacher

Salary: £145 - £230 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision on the outskirts of Bristol that supports children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting provides a structured and therapeutic environment, focusing on strong relationships, emotional development and helping pupils build confidence, resilience and independence.
The school is looking to appoint a SEND Science Teacher on a full-time, long term basis with the opportunity to go permanent following a qualifying period. The successful SEND Science Teacher will be responsible for planning and preparing personalised Science lessons, adapting the curriculum to meet a range of complex needs while supporting both academic progress and emotional development.
The successful SEND Science Teacher will have:
• QTS
• Experience teaching Science across Key Stages
• Strong experience working with SEND, particularly SEMH and challenging behaviour
• Proven experience planning and preparing tailored and personalised lessons
• The ability to build strong relationships and engage pupils effectively
• A committed, resilient and adaptable approach
