Job Description
Shift: 5ON 2OFF - 05:00am.
Salary: £37,804 per annum.
1. As an HGV Class 2 driver you will be essential in ensuring timely and safe delivery to our valued customers.
2. You will be working on a contract which specialises in Multi Drop Tyre deliveries on Rigid Vehicles and Collecting Scrap Tyres.
3. The role will include delivering wines.
4. Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
5. The role may include curb side deliveries and will include manual lifting.
6. Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
7. Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
8. Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
9. Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
10. Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
11. Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business
12. Any other duties as reasonably required
Qualifications
13. Class C entitlement with 1 years Class 2 experience.
14. Physically fit as the role will include manual lifting.
15. Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
16. Excellent communication skills
17. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
18. Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.
