Front of House Assistant Reading Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: 24288.00
Hours: 40 per week

A co-educational private school for both day and boarding pupils in Reading, Berkshire. Catering for 1540 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning breaks and afternoon breaks. There is a considerable amount of hospitality at this location. This is a term-time plus contract working 46.6 weeks a year. This is a 7-day operation so working pattern will be 5 days out of 7. Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site.

We are looking for a Front of House Assistant to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Reading.

You will ideally have previous experience of working within a fast-paced catering environment as a catering assistant or supervisor, you will be looking to take your career to the next level and progress into a managerial role.

You will enjoy what you do, working with a great team, for a company fanatical about food serving wonderful customers.

Main Duties:

* Serving and interacting with staff and pupils during mealtimes
* To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in your area of concern
* To Maintain, wash, Store and Polish crockery, cutlery and glassware for everyday use.
* To provide the service of food/beverages and carry out any minor food preparation task
* To Prepare, set-up, serve, clear, clean and store away any food, beverage or equipment required for special functions.
* On a rota basis work additional hours during and out of term time to assist with lettings, functions and school events.
* Operate cleaning, dishwashing equipment. Properly clean and store equipment, service, preparation and storage areas.
* Complete all / any necessary cleaning/hygiene duties...
* To assist with meal documentation procedures
* To assist in the service of all meals/functions when needed.
* Serve customers, visitors and guests to a high standard in line with Thomas Franks and client service standards and expectations
* Clean, fill, beverage machines and ensure all vending equipment is working correctly,
