An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Group Financial Control team, with a specific focus on the Rolls Royce reporting and consolidation system Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). The role reports to the Head of Group Reporting, Head Office and is required to work closely with key stakeholders in IT, Global Business Services, finance and business teams across Rolls Royce.
The role is to lead the development of the Oracle HFM system, ensuring strict process control is maintained whilst ensuring the development of the system aligns to the increasing internal and external reporting requirements. You will work collaboratively with the IT team, Global Business Services and the Oracle Hyperion Planning – Value Based Modelling (OHP-VBM) team to deliver system updates.
A key aspect of the role is to ensure best practice controls and the smooth running of the consolidation system through robust programme management and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

What you will be doing:
1. Responsible for ensuring process and functional controls for the HFM system are maintained to a high stand and are fit for purpose. Demonstrate adherence to controls to the Internal Controls team and to our external audit team
2. Develop a detailed plan for system maintenance and improvements to ensure we are following best practice, challenge existing processes
3. Develop and improve the HFM system to ensure it continues to meet both internal and external statutory reporting requirements
4. Lead the successful delivery of the planned functional updates, ensuring all checks and validations are reviewed and approved within the set timeframes
5. Guide and support the translation of business requirements into clearly defined and efficient application changes
6. Responsible for creating, standardising and reviewing the HFM rules.
7. Have a detailed understanding of metadata changes in Digital Rights Management (DRM)
8. Directly manage the HFM Operations Manager, supervising their work and prioritising their continuing personal development
9. Play an integral part of the Rolls Royce systems teams.

In addition for this role, we are looking for someone who has:
16. A self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a track record of consistently delivering quality results to challenging timetables
17. Deep understanding and proven experience of Oracle HFM and rule writing is essential.
18. Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills with an ability to create and agree workable solutions
19. Have a good understanding of Financial Data Quality Management Enterprise Edition (FDMEE), Data Relationship Manager (DRM) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM stack)
20. Resilience, problem solving and good judgement – this role is often the first call for issues and queries
21. Ability to quickly understand complex issues and summarise and articulate them in a simple and concise manner
