Job responsibilities
1. Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with existing and undiagnosed glaucoma and other ocular conditions.
2. Perform diagnostic tests such as visual field assessments, OCT, Volk, CCT, and gonioscopy.
3. Develop management plans for glaucoma referrals.
4. Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
5. Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
6. Participate in team meetings and service development initiatives.
7. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
8. Educate and support patients and families regarding glaucoma management and treatment options.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Medical degree from a recognized university.
* Valid GMC registration with a license to practice.
* Experience in ophthalmology, especially in managing glaucoma cases.
* Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
Experience
* Deep understanding of glaucoma management and patient care.
* Experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases.
Salary: £80,000 per year. Benefits include pension, annual leave, private healthcare, and free laser eye treatment.
