Job Overview
A Digital Technician plays a vital role in creating project design drawings, including site mechanical/civil GA’s, traffic management plans, and vehicle swept path analysis. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Main Responsibilities:
* Preparation of project design drawings, including site mechanical/civil GA's, traffic management plans, vehicle swept path analysis, route plans, etc.
* Preparation of project as-built drawings.
* Taking part in roles assigned within a Building Information Modelling (BIM) process and working to industry standards.
* Formulation of deliverable packages and liaising with document control teams.
* Interrogation/preparation of models and drawings using various CAD applications.
* Assistance, where required, with project tender packages.
* Coordinating with internal & external team members/design teams/project teams where necessary.
* Liaising with colleagues, other departments, and project teams regarding drawing requirements.
* Preparing drawings in accordance with current company CAD Standards.
* Ensuring that drawings are prepared, stored, issued, and archived in accordance with company procedures via internal CAD Data Management software.
* Capable of working to strict deadlines and project budgets.
* Ensuring that chargeable work can be evaluated by the preparation of adequate timesheet records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experienced with using Civil3D.
* Advanced knowledge of Autodesk products, such as Navisworks.
* Working knowledge of BIM workflows.
