Overview
In this role you will be leading a team within the workshop, leading by example to ensure the team is running smoothly and to also help prioritise workload. You will be running an engineering department which includes fabrication/welders and CNC machinists.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the workshop team (fabrication/welders and CNC machinists) to ensure smooth operations and effective workload prioritisation.
* Train and coach junior through to senior technicians to help develop their skills.
* Act as a key figure in recruitment to support growth of the department.
Growth and Capabilities
The fabrication department has seen significant growth and has the potential to continue this trend. The CNC area is expanding and has invested in a new 3D carbon fibre printer. The team will be around 12 strong with plans for further growth.
Experience and Qualities
* Ideally from a fast-paced manufacturing background; motorsport experience is desirable.
* Commercial awareness and openness to new ideas within the department.
* Experience working with high standards of quality in Motorsport/F1/Aerospace industries; also involving supply to MOD and Marine sectors.
