The Governor Services Team are looking to recruit a full-time, term-time Governing Bodies Support Officer to work with governors of schools/academies to support them to carry out their core and statutory functions.
We are looking for a conscientious individual to join our professional team, who is committed to providing a quality service to our Governing Bodies to support improving outcomes for children and young people in North Lincolnshire. They should be able to work well within a team and be able to use their own initiative when working independently. They should have good verbal and written communication skills and be competent in using a range of IT applications.
We are looking for someone with good organisation and time management skills who can work well to deadlines.
Main responsibilities will include:
• to provide Professional Clerking which includes attending meetings in schools/online, providing high-quality minutes and administration
• to provide comprehensive guidance on legislation/statutory duties to support effective governance both during meetings and office hours
• liaising with governors and education staff on procedural matters including drawing up key documentation and undertaking consultations
• ensuring confidentiality and adherence to GDPR Experience of school governance would be desirable but not essential.
