As a Senior Environment Concept Artist, your role will be to work with Senior Leaders in the Creative department to create high-quality original artwork that displays innovative solutions when answering briefs. You will be required to take creative direction and estimate, schedule, and deliver relevant detailed artwork.
Responsibilities
* Integrate assets and textures produced in Unity respecting the technical and artistic constraints
* Accurately plan and estimate workload
* Verify the work quality once imported into the game, and make improvements when necessary
* Communicate with level designers and modify game assets to their requirements
* Efficiently use texture space and consider pixel ratio
* Optimize texel density for lightmap UVs
* Transform blockouts from Level Designers into fully lit and crafted levels following technical and artistic constraints
* Work with agile methodologies
Requirements
* 3+ years of professional experience in game environment modeling using Maya or related software
* Strong artistic ability to visualize entire levels with minimal concept art and direction
* Extensive knowledge of Unity 2019.3
* Excellent understanding of art fundamentals – composition, shape language, color theory
* Understanding of technical constraints in game development
* Ability to take ownership of aspects of the game and collaborate effectively with the team
