The School and Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and committed History Teacher to join a secondary school in the Bournemouth area. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the chance to inspire students to think critically about the past and its relevance to the present.
You’ll be joining a collaborative Humanities department where subject knowledge and pupil engagement are valued. The school has a strong focus on raising aspirations and encouraging student curiosity. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, this role offers a great environment to grow professionally and make a lasting impact.
As a History Teacher, Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Planning and delivering a broad, balanced History curriculum
* Supporting students' academic and personal progress
* Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom
* Creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
Requirements
The desired History Teacher will have:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* A degree in History or a related subject
* Experience teaching History to KS3 and KS4 students
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* A passion for subject knowledge and pupil development
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
