Overview
We are hiring a Medical Secretary/MDT Co-ordinator for the Diabetes and Endocrinology Secretarial team. This is a 12-month secondment. The role is based at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (Royal Stoke University Hospital) and includes administrative duties, typing letters, clinic alterations, answering calls, and using software packages such as Microsoft Office, Careflow, and IPortal.
Note: University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. This aligns with UKVI guidelines and the salary/skill thresholds required for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you may apply; however UHNM cannot offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa. You must have at least six months remaining on your visa at the start of employment for training and operational reasons. This vacancy is open at this stage to internal employees within the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System (ICS).

Responsibilities
* Support the Team Leader Medical Secretary in delivering a comprehensive administrative service to a specialty team.
* Communicate appointment and admission information to patients and carers; prepare typing and correspondence as appropriate.
* Perform general medical secretarial duties including typing letters, clinic alterations, answering telephone calls, and using software packages (Microsoft Office, Careflow, IPortal).
Essential duties also include supporting the MDT Co-ordinator as allocated and coordinating with the MDT/Diabetes and Endocrinology team as required.

Person Specification
Essential criteria: NVQ level 2, OCR 2 or equivalent; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook; reasonable standard of GSCE A-C (4-9) or equivalent. Desirable: Secretarial/clerical background; audio typing skills; NHS experience.
