Our client is recruiting for a Transport Planner to work Monday-Friday in Minworth wihtin an FMCG enviornment.
As a Transport Planner you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.
The hours of work are either 08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00
Key Duties of a Transport Planner:
1. Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
2. Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period.
3. Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
4. Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
5. Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
6. Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
7. Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPIs.
8. Proactively look for continuous improvements.
9. Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
